Casper Orillion is the founder and leader of The Order. Prior to The Order's founding, he was an agent working for the Liberty government.

Background[]

Before the events of the Single Player Campaign, Orillion was the Liberty government's top agent, involved in many clandestine operations. Soon after an expedition to an uncharted planet spearheaded by Rheinland resulted in a massive reshuffle of the Rheinland government, Orillion discovered that the Nomads had infected his commanding officer. The Nomads also wanted to infect Orillion, but he escaped from their clutches as well as Liberty space, commandeering an advanced prototype Liberty Dreadnought in the process and christening it the Osiris. From there, Orillion dedicated himself to finding out more about the Nomads in order to stop them and started building The Order by enlisting anyone from the colonies, regardless of affiliation, who wanted to stop the Nomads from spreading and infecting the human population. Orillion also created a sub-group of The Order—his own Corps of Engineers—who constructed The Order's secret base on Planet Toledo within a few months and developed the one-of-a-kind Order 07A Anubis Very Heavy Fighter for The Order's strike operations.

Single Player Campaign[]

Mission 3[]

Orillion was first mentioned at the start of Mission 3, with a news report claiming that he had been shot dead while attempting to escape from Liberty, and that Orillion was the codename of Sam Lonnigan, the Samura Heavy Industries trader who owed Edison Trent 1 million credits in exchange for a large shipment of Boron that he had signed over mere seconds before the Destruction of Freeport 7.

At some point between Mission 9 and Mission 10, Liberty Security Force Commanders Jun'ko Zane and Michael King had their first meeting with Orillion and were inducted into the ranks of The Order, with Juni being breveted to the position of Colonel.

Mission 10[]

Orillion was having a discussion with professors Roland Quintaine and Kendra Sinclair on board the Osiris when it jumped into the Hamburg system. His discussion with them ended shortly after the Osiris decloaked and attacked the Rheinland Battleship Odin in order to safely extract Trent and Herr Von Claussen, whereupon he made his way down to the Landing Pad with King to meet the two Order operatives and introduce himself to Trent, before proceeding to attend another meeting and leaving Trent in the care of Juni.

Orillion breveted Trent to the rank of Colonel sometime before Mission 11.

Mission 11[]

Trent, Juni and King were briefed by Orillion on a mission to link up with a group of uninfected Liberty government personnel, led by Captain Marcus Walker, to determine the fate of Liberty President Barbara Jacobi, who is suspected to be imprisoned in the Alaska system. He provided Juni with a set of codes to override the security of the New York-Alaska jump gate in Zone 21, allowing The Order's forces to enter the latter system.

At the end of the mission, Juni reported back to Orillion on a successful outcome, while also handing to him a data disk containing information regarding Nomad weapon prototypes and tactical files. He is then formally introduced to President Jacobi by Juni and proceeded to update her on the situation in the colonies before ordering the Osiris to set course for Toledo.

Mission 12[]

Orillion was present in the briefing room on Planet Toledo when Quintaine and Sinclair revealed that the purpose of the Dom'Kavash Artifact was to activate the entrance to the Hypergate system in the Sirius Sector. Thereafter, he asked Trent and Juni to lead the operation to activate the hypergate network in the Nomad homeworld.

Mission 13[]

When Toledo was attacked by the Nomads, Orillion ordered The Order's fighter corps to intercept the Nomads attacking the base while he remained planet-side to assist Quintaine and Sinclair in jury-rigging the artifact so that it can activate the hypergate network. When the modifications to the artifact were completed, just as the Nomads began a wide-scale orbital bombardment of Toledo, Orillion recalled Trent and Juni from the space battle to collect the artifact and escort Quintaine and Sinclair to the Osiris. He then made his way to the Osiris separately and rallied all of The Order's remaining forces to launch an all-out attack on the Nomads' homeworld in the Omicron Major system. The Order's assault ended with Trent using the artifact to activate the hypergate network directly above a Nomad City located at the center of a Dyson Sphere, drastically thinning out the Nomad forces throughout Sirius.

Orillion's last appearance was in the bar on Planet Manhattan at the end of the mission, asking Trent to consider helping The Order to monitor Liberty space.
